About Me

I was born in Riga, Latvia, in 1978 to a musical family, and showed a keen interest in music from an early age taking piano lessons with my mother. In 1989 after studying at the Gnessin school of Music in Moscow, my family and I moved to Israel where I continued with my piano studies in Tel-Aviv until 1994. I was accepted in to the Purcell School of Music with a full scholarship and afterwards completed my Bachelor Music degree at the Royal Academy of Music in London. In 2003 I graduated from the Karlsruhe Musikhochschule, Germany, with Postgraduate Degree Honours. In 2006 I have successfully graduated with a Master degree in Performance with Honours as well as a Teaching Degree from the class of Prof. Homero Francesch at the Züricher Hochschule der Künste.

I have performed extensively throughout Europe, U.S.A., South America and Asia as a soloist, as well as with orchestras and as a chamber music player. Some of the orchestras with which I have performed include: The Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Wales Orchestra, London Soloist Chamber Orchestra, HMT Orchestra Zürich, Vietnamese Symphony Orchestra, Moravian Symphony Orchestra in venues such as The Barbican Hall (London), St. Martins in the Fields (London), Philharmonic Concert Hall (Tallinn, Estonia), National Theatre (Hanoi, Vietnam), Salle Corteau and Salle Chopin-Pleyel (Paris), Jerusalem Music Centre (Israel) among others.

I have taken part in festivals such as Chopin Festival in Belgium and Poland, Gubbio Festival in Italy, Rheingau Festival in Germany, The Summit Music Festival in NY, USA, and The Niagara International Chamber Music Festival, Canada. I also had the honour to perform in front of His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales at St. James’s Palace. My performances have been broadcast live in Israel, Estonia, and Poland. Since 2009 I’m working at the Musikschule der Stadt Zug as part of the piano faculty.
